Holy pajamas, Universe. It’s been over a month since I’ve posted on this blog and even longer since I’ve released a book. Well, that’s not entirely true. Cass hasn’t released anything since spring. Other Cass, (C.A. Worley), released a fantasy/paranormal romance novel in September and has another one coming out this month. What’s that? You don’t know about Other Cass? Well, let me bore you with the details … I mean, tell you all about it. Her. Whatever. In an exciting manner. So I hope you’re seated. You know, in case you get overly excited and pass out. Lookin’ at you, Deborah.
If you’ve read my work, you know I tend to write humor. Okay, okay, humor is a character in most my books. I can’t help it. Sometimes shit needs to be funny (no, not literally “shit” … or, okay, maybe literally, but I don’t write those kinds of books–yuck!). Anyway, my new books do not splash the funny front and center. There are a few moments, because, hey, I didn’t even know I was doing it, but the theme is not comedy. The central theme is Fate–more specifically, fated mates.
I love me some werewolves, some vampires, and even some demons. So that’s what I’ve got going on with my Fate of Imperium Series. Have you seen any of the books? No? Well, the covers are gorgeous. I added them to the top of this post for your viewing pleasure. I think the cover is why the first book, The Wolf King’s Bride, is outselling all my other books combined. Seriously. So thanks, OliviaProDesign, for the amazing covers! She’s on Fiverr, FYI.
So, as you can see, I haven’t been sitting around doing nothing. I’ve been writing fantasy. It’s my first attempt at the non-humor thing, so keep that in mind if you ever decide to give this series a shot. I was nervous how my readers would take them, hence the using of a different name on the covers.
Have I piqued your interest? Maybe this will help: The Wolf King’s Bride is only 99 cents. Book 2, The Vampire King’s Mate, is 99 cents to preorder. It releases 11/26, but I’m keeping the sale price through the first weekend of December. After that, it will go to the regular price of $2.99. Thinking about it? I do have something in the works for Cass Alexander to release in 2019. It’s got lots of bad language and comedic relief. You know, your favorites. However, I’m stuck on this whole paranormal thing. I love it. I know many of you aren’t into that scene, but I’m hoping to bridge my loves of writing funny and writing fantasy/paranormal. We’ll see what I come up with.
